This video was produced in December 2018 for the USAID-funded People for Health project.
Without an emergency transport vehicle, people in Adiembra in the Birim South District would sometimes carry community members in need of health care to neighboring Swedru on their backs. But with the support of People for Health, the Adiembra Community Health Management Committee (CHMC) has negotiated with local taxi driver Paul Dwamena to double as an ambulance and ensure timely access to treatment.
Watch our video to hear how the ambulance taxi helped the grandson of Adiembra resident Theresa Agyeiwaa, and learn how the CHMC and Dwamena came to their life-saving agreement. #GoodNewsTues
