I have over a decade of experience as a professional proofreader and editor.
I am known for writing clean copy of my own, but my start in editing other people’s work came in 2008, when the University of Ottawa student newspaper hired me to be their staff proofreader. They chose me—even though I was a Carleton student—because I scored the highest on their proofreading test.
I upped my editing game as a “WordPro Specialist” at an environmental consulting firm in Calgary from 2013 to 2015, carefully editing scientific reports to government according to a comprehensive in-house style manual.
I continue to work with Scribendi Inc. as either an in-house or freelance editor, perfecting a broad range of documents for students and professionals.
